What we do

Our latest AONB Management Plan, published in 2019, sets out our strategy for managing Cannock Chase National Landscape (AONB) for the next five years. The document fulfils our legal requirements under Section 89 of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act (CRoW) 2000, and is designed to proactively balance the protection and enjoyment of your AONB.

It has been developed in close co-operation with key stakeholders from across the Chase, and is intended as a working document for all those with an interest in or influence on the area.

The AONB Management Plan does not contain planning policies, but does provide a framework for the relevant local planning authorities in the area to have regard for the purpose of conserving and enhancing the natural beauty of the National Landscape.
